The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 may be the main highlights of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, but the company also had a surprise in its boxes for gamers. The Galaxy Book Odyssey launched alongside the two flagship devices in Samsung’s 2021 IT lineup.

Unlike the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360, the Galaxy Book Odyssey is equipped with an all-new and powerful NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti Max Q GPU, with the option to opt for the RTX 3050 Max-Q as well. We don’t know much about graphics cards as of yet, as NVIDIA and Samsung haven’t provided details beyond the name.

It also features 32GB RAM (user upgradeable ), as well as an expandable and changeable 2TB hard drive. The set is powered by Intel’s Tiger Lake H series Core i7 and Core i5 processors.

Other highlights of the device include its plethora of ports including HDMI, USB Type-C, and traditional USB A 3.2 ports. Samsung claims it is one of the thinnest and most powerful gaming laptops the company has ever made, but it also pointed out that it is powerful enough to play Xbox Game Pass games. “high quality” on PC.

Of course, with an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti Max Q GPU, other games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Microsoft Flight Simulator shouldn’t be a problem either. Samsung claims it is a  perfect match for gamers about to embark on their wildest adventures and mentions that the device is designed for everyday use up to heavy use of gaming and B2B use.

The laptop is 15.6 inches in size, in a Mystic Black colour, with a silver Samsung Odyssey logo on the cover. The laptop also has an improved cooling system. When it comes to charging, Samsung incorporates a 135-watt USB Type-C charger.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey joins the Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 in Samsung’s 2021 lineup. The Galaxy Book is supposed to be more of a laptop for the education markets, and “accessible to all” with the same great processing power and performance as the other two flagship devices.

Samsung says the Galaxy Book Odyssey will arrive later this summer, in August, starting at $ 1,400.
