Xiaomi has just presented the new version of its connected bracelet, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 NFC. With this bracelet, you will now be able to pay without contact.
Xiaomi presents the Mi Smart Band 6 NFC
During its event on September 15, 2021, Xiaomi presented new smartphones from its 11T series, the 11 Lite NE 5G as well as an affordable tablet: the Mi Pad 5. The Chinese brand, also very invested in the wearable market (connected accessories), unveils a variation of its Mi Smart Band 6 announced last March.
As its name suggests, this new version of the connected bracelet will offer NFC functionality. Thus, you will have the possibility to pay without contact with the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 NFC.
Xiaomi has joined forces with Mastercard to allow the use of the cards of the credit card giant directly on its bracelet. Xiaomi does not, however, specify which service will be integrated, if it is for example Google Pay or a proprietary solution.
Apart from the NFC, the bracelet remains the same
Xiaomi, however, has not made any other changes to the Mi Smart Band 6 NFC compared to the Mi Smart Band 6. Thus, the Mi Smart Band 6 NFC has a 1.56 inch AMOLED display, a heart rate sensor, 30 activity modes, and up to 14 days of autonomy. The Mi Smart Band 6 NFC is also 5 ATM waterproof and supports Bluetooth 5.0 to pair the tracker with smartphones running Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0 minimum. Xiaomi has also integrated the Amazon Alexa functionality if you are using Amazon’s digital assistant.
The Mi Smart Band 6 NFC sells for € 54.90, or € 15 more than the classic model.
