The Huawei Watch 3, Watch 3 Pro, MatePad 11, and MatePad Pro have been made official by Huawei. These are the first products to be released natively under HarmonyOS.
HarmonyOS is the operating system that will equip all future connected devices from Huawei. And the first to benefit are smartwatches and tablets.
Huawei Watch 3 and 3 Pro: premium connected watches
The Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro differ in their manufacture: aluminum for the first and titanium for the high-end version. For the rest, we find roughly similar technical specifications.
They are equipped with a 1.43 inch AMOLED display, heart monitor, oximeter, temperature sensor and can offer sleep tracking and measure stress level. Huawei promises more than 100 exercises for athletes.
The smartwatches have an eSIM for 4G connectivity. Count on 14 days of battery life for the Watch 3 and 21 days for the Watch 3 Pro with 4G disabled. Otherwise, it logically melts at 3 and 5 days of endurance respectively.
The Huawei Watch 3 Pro is sold for $608. Two prices are available for the Watch 3: $486 for the Classic version with leather strap and $449 for the sport version with the silicone strap. The release date is scheduled for June 18, 2021.
A MatePad Pro tablet that has nothing to envy to iPads
Then tablets were entitled to HarmonyOS: the MatePad 11 and the MatePad Pro. The latter benefits from a 12.6-inch OLED screen with 2560 x 1600 pixel definition and is powered by a Kirin 9000E SoC in its most high-end version. It is also available in a variant with a 10.8-inch panel and Snapdragon 870 chip. For its part, the MatePad 11 is entitled to a 120 Hz 10.95-inch LCD screen and a Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The autonomy of the MatePad Pro 12.6 is entrusted to a 10,050mAh battery, enough to hold 14 hours of video playback according to Huawei. The tablet is compatible with 40W fast wired charging and 27W induction charging, also with 10W reverse charging.
The MatePad Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 as well as 5G connectivity (optional) and has three photosensors, four microphones, and eight speakers. Huawei has not skimped on the means.
The Huawei MatePad Pro is announced from $974 the MatePad 11 from $486.
