With the Buds Z2, OnePlus finally offers noise reduction

After multiple rumors and leaks revealing almost all of the details of OnePlus’ Buds Z2, the Chinese firm finally came to present this new generation of headphones on Friday, October 15 alongside the OnePlus 9RT.

With this new generation, OnePlus first announces that it has implemented 11mm diameter transducers in each headset. The latter can also offer a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz. Three microphones are then involved, especially for calls, but especially for active noise reduction up to 40 dB. Compatible with Bluetooth 5.2, the headphones only support traditional codes, such as AAC and SBC.

For the design part, the Buds Z2 from OnePlus does not revolutionize the previous generation. There are in-ear-type atria. In terms of protection, they are also IP55 certified to protect against rain, perspiration, but also dust. The case is IPX4 and is, therefore, splash resistant. In terms of autonomy, each earphone has a 40 mAh battery, which can last 5 hours on a charge with noise reduction activated (7 hours without). Thanks to the 520 mAh charging box, the autonomy goes up to 27 hours with noise reduction and 38 hours without.
