Apple Watch Series 7: a bigger screen

There are now only a few weeks left before the officialization of the new generation of Apple-connected watches. Among the changes planned for this Apple Watch Series 7, we can mention the arrival of a brand new design. More square, like the iPhone 12, it should also benefit from a new screen size following a recent information leak announcing the arrival of a 45 mm case.

A bigger screen for the 2021 Apple Watch

After the iPad Pro in 2018 and the iPad Air in 2019, the iPhone benefited from a whole new design with more square borders in 2020, like the iPhone 4. In 2021, it was iMac’s turn to find flat borders. And at the end of the year, it will be the turn of the Apple Watch to adopt a similar design. Already discovered in several 3D renderings, the design of the Apple Watch Series 7 has nothing more to hide with a more square appearance and flat edges. Among the rumors revolving around the watch, several sources announced the arrival of larger cases.

Through the social network Twitter, the rumor was relaunched by DuanRui, a more or less reliable source, via an image of a leather strap with the mention of size still unknown to the battalion at Apple “45 mm”. As a reminder, the largest model until today was 44mm. At first glance, this marking looks like two drops of water to the one usually applied by Apple. As in the past, however, this would not mean that other bracelet models are not compatible with the new Apple Watch.

In addition to a possibly slightly larger screen, the Apple Watch Series 7 will also be the first to natively integrate WatchOS 8. As a reminder, this update will notably add new features allowing you to take care of yourself daily. Apple’s new connected watch should be presented during September alongside the iPhone 13, but also the AirPods 3.
