iPhone SE 3: an A15 chip and no design change

Now that the iPhone 13 has been presented and released, Apple is reportedly preparing a new affordable smartphone. The firm at apple would return at the beginning of the year with the iPhone SE 3. According to an informant, the device would be equipped with an A15 chip, the same as the iPhone 13, and would keep the design from the previous generation.

For many months, rumors have been accumulating around the iPhone SE 3. Lashing out for early 2022, a leaker recently announced a radical change in design. This generation would therefore not linger on the iPhone 8 but the iPhone XR. As a result, the notch would finally arrive on affordable smartphones at Apple, in addition to the A14 chip of the iPhone 12 (and therefore 5G).

However, these few details have just been overlooked according to a recent Japanese report from the Macotakara blog. We learn that the iPhone SE 3 would not have any design change compared to the generation released in 2020. As a result, it would be equipped with a 4.7-inch LCD screen as well as a Touch ID. The biggest change would thus take place inside the Apple smartphone with an A15 chip compatible with the 5G network.

Last I heard, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was also going in this direction, both in terms of design, but also the arrival of 5G on the SE range of iPhone. He also mentioned the possible arrival of a model with a larger screen (5.5 inches), aka the iPhone SE Plus.

However, all this is still very vague. Since the device is expected in the first half of 2022, further information leaks should gradually clarify the device. The Japanese report announces in any case that production will begin in December 2021.
